Green is good, you know? Especially bright green, coupled with fire. These lads were simple to paint and didn't take anywhere near as long as I thought they would. I also really enjoyed it - when you have painting momentum you really do. In particular that 'matte' look is achieved by my Dad giving it a low pressure blast of Vallejo's Mecha Matte Varnish, which is just outstanding. I will probably get him to have a go at Adrax to make him less shiny.

I feel obliged to point out that the sergeant (appropriately named 'sergeant tasteless haircut') delibertately has a peroxide job on his hair. In tribute to the disturbing fashion trend that shook the early NRL season where many players gave themselves awful dye jobs.

There's also a shoulder shot for a full, unobstructed view of what the flame icons look like fully painted and varnished. Because I wanted to.

And in the reverse, the Pop Goes the Monkey Salamander shoulder pads.
